Do you suffer from a life-crippling phobia? Have you been battling with smoking for years but can’t quit?

Alan Bates, the internationally renowned Master of Hypnosis will be holding a hypnosis session at The Times.

We are inviting our readers to write in with their stories. Please leave your comments below or send an email to [email protected]

Two readers will then be chosen to join Mr Bates’ workshop on Monday, October 22 at 9am at The Times offices in Valletta.

Mr Bates will be holding two Stop Smoking with Alan Bates Seminars on November 18 and 21. He will also give an exclusive live comedy show at the newly refurbished City Theatre, Valletta on Saturday, November 17 at 8pm

Well done Raymond! Please accept the fact that not everyone can quit alone.

There are various ways to help people stop smoking...hypnosis being one of them.

Criticism and cynicism definitely do not.

As I posted yesterday - I am a healed person through hypnotized methods when Alan Bates was here! Many people try many methods - I was one of them! Others have a strong will and stop like one of the comments here but many don't have that willpower! I will be going to the comedy show this time a healed person and would love to meet you Mr Alan Bates is that possible ?

Hi Lawrence
and thanks Karl for your comments.
.
If only everyone had that will power Lawrence! The world would be an amazing place.

We cannot condemn people because of lack of will power.
On the contrary, we should all try to help and not criticise.

Karl, hope you will have a great time at the comedy night!

Nice to see the lovely Maltese have not lost their funny bone!

Hope to see you at the Live Comedy show on the 17th November! We will have a great night of fun and laughter! All in good taste of course.

And for all of you asking, only those who volunteer will be the "stars" of the evening....well, those of them who will be hypnotised of course!

That's the attitude you need to make sure you WON'T BE HYPNOTIZED
Wilfred.

It's a pity because hypnosis has helped so many people

But one has to be relaxed, trusting and really want it to work...Not come to prove it wrong. It all depends on the individual

Hello John. It is always fantastic and encouraging to hear people's success stories! You might help save someone's life by encouraging them to try hypnosis when nothing else had helped. I still receive many emails of people who have stopped during one of my sessions and I hope there will be many more after my forthcoming trip to Malta! Thank you for posting.

Dear Mario, I would so very much like to help everyone. When I start my Stop Smoking sessions, I always say..."This is not a magic wand!" - referring to the microphone!

If you get hypnotised, then you can be helped. Anyone can be hypnotised - if they really want it. If they relax and open. If someone is sitting there thinking this and that, wondering, doubting etc...then it will not work.

Hello Peter. There are two stop smoking sessions on the 18th & 21st November at the City Theatre Valletta. These sessions have helped many people quit tobacco.

Re other phobias, my time in Malta is very limited. Please write to me on [email protected] and will let you know.

Ray, hypnotherapy as a treatment for addiction comes along later in the rehabilitation process. The person seeking treatment needs to completely detoxify their system before they even consider undergoing treatment, and this usually means spending weeks or even months cleaning up.

Looking forward to helping more people while in Malta including you Mr. Scerri!

Mr. Camilleri, if everyone had the will power necessary ...to stop smoking, to get on a plane, to not be terrified every time they walk out the door, etc etc, it would be a fantastic world without any problems wouldn't it? Hypnosis is not a gimmik. It CAN help.

Mr Bates, Heights give me the creeps, even going up a ladder. Getting me on a plane is impossible, I am constrained in staying home {feeding the dogs] when my wife takes the children abroad. Need your help please.
Mark.
