HSBC wealth management employees on strike
HSBC wealth management employees are on strike at the directive of their union, which failed to reach an agreement with the bank on the section’s proposed restructuring.
The Malta Union of Bank Employees said in a statement that it has written to the Justice Minister requesting the appointment of an Industrial Tribunal to settle the dispute in the absence of a negotiated settlement between the parties concerned.
It reiterated that its preference would always be that of a negotiated settlement and a mutually agreed way forward.

What they write vs what they mean
personal development plan vs commission based on hard sales
potential of top performers vs more workload
exploit their full potential vs squeeze them as much as possible
develop skills and experience vs ensure no job is left out in their list of responsibilities

Is it true that the staff has been on strike for the last 3 weeks and if yes what are their exact demands?

@ B ellul I think the question raised would have been of news value. If you watch italian news for example CISL made a strike due to.... and the reason is given the same happens in the western world. So to have information does not need to be the industrial tribunal.

"proposed restructuring" -sounds ominously like job losses to me!The only wealth management HSBC is interested in is their own!
