Nationalist MP Franco Debono has presented a no-confidence motion in Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt.

The motion was presented to the Clerk of the House early this afternoon and criticises the minister over his handling of the bus service reform, the car parks privatisation issue and the power station extension contract.

Some months ago Dr Debono had abstained in a no confidence motion in Dr Gatt specifically over the bus service reform.

He has since said he will not support the government for as long as Dr Gatt is in the Cabinet and will vote against the Budget.

Dr Gatt has said he will not resign.
