New Melita products with faster speeds

Melita’s customers will enjoy better broadband internet speeds as the company breaks new ground with fresh internet products offering faster download speeds.

Melita has established 30 megabits per second as the minimum entry level download speed for bundle subscribers with immediate effect on TV-internet-telephony bundle subscriptions.

This is the first product of its kind in Malta, a result of the strength of Melita’s cable infrastructure. Other internet providers in Malta employ a slower ADSL technology which promises theoretical speeds of up to 35 Mbps in selected localities.

Along with video-on-demand, high definition channels and practically unlimited calls from home, Melita’s Home Entertainment Pack will now offer fast download speeds of up to 30 megabits per second, from €30 per month.

Customers signing up to the fibre-powered Home Entertainment Pack until the end of October will also get a free upgrade to 60 megabits per second until the end of January, with an additional charge of €6 applying from February.

Customers may revert to the 30 megabit speed at no charge by filling an online form by January 15.
