Air Malta’s inflight magazine shows the airline’s new livery
‘Malta’ is written in large letters on the side of the aircraft near the front, although all in lower case, with the caption ‘The airline of the Maltese Islands’. So far, so good.
The back of the aircraft is a riot of colour and the article accompanying the pictures says the “design reflects the uniqueness of the Maltese Islands with their proud heritage, colours, culture, symbols, hospitality and language”.
I can’t see how the design does this. Perhaps the airline’s chief executive, Peter Davies, could write an article for this newspaper explaining how it works.
I don’t really have anything against it except that the Maltese Cross on the tail is cut off. The original tail is much nicer.
