A 27-year-old woman is suspected of killing her boyfriend after he became upset about her activities on Facebook, police in Puerto Rico said today.

Spokesman Lieutenant Candido Pagan said a two-month-old girl and a 10-year-old boy were in the house when the killing happened this morning.

Lt Pagan said both are the children of suspect Wilnilia Sanchez Falcon, but it is unclear if they witnessed the killing in the central mountain town of Comerio.

Lt Pagan said Sanchez is expected to be charged over the death of 25-year-old Jesus Rivera Algarin, who was stabbed in the torso.

The officer provided no information about what Sanchez may have posted on her Facebook account to upset her partner.

He said Sanchez did not have a criminal history but Algarin was charged with domestic violence in 2010.
