Two are charged

A 17-year-old boy was yesterday charged with assaulting police officers in Paceville.

The boy pleaded not guilty to threatening, attacking and assaulting police constables early yesterday morning.

He was also charged with committing a crime while under probation.

He was denied bail and remanded in custody by Magistrate Neville Camilleri.

Meanwhile, in a separate arraignment, a Spaniard pleaded guilty to seriously injuring a man at around 3am yesterday morning. Dionisio Gordillo, 27, also pleaded guilty to breaching the peace.

He received a suspended six-month jail term.
