The Malta International Airshow will feature additional flying displays to make up for the absence of The Red Arrows, which were prevented from coming to the show because of technical difficulties.

The crowds which visited the show today were thrilled by the spectacular display of the Spitfire, Hawk, Tucano and the Italian Military Mission Helicopter.

The afternoon started with Malta International Airport parading the Fire Section followed by a fly-by of one of the Armed Forces of Malta's Alouette III helicopters displaying the Maltese flag.

The AFM also showed its air wing’s capabilities with a fast roping exhibition by one of its Alouette’s.

Towards the end of the show, all attention was focused on Air Malta’s A320 sporting the new colours. The airbus taxied in to take pride of place on the static park.
