Two airport fire-engines sprayed an arc of water to salute the arrival of Air Malta's first aircraft dressed in the airline's new livery.
The water was sprayed as the Airbus A320 aircraft 9H-AEN was making its way to its spot in the static display of the Malta International Airshow.
The aircraft, operating flight KM070, flew to Malta just after being repainted in
the new livery. The flight number was chosen to celebrate the 70th anniversary
since the award of the 'George Cross' to Malta that is being commemorated this
year.
The new livery is the first step in a series of projects aimed to re-brand the airline.
