Better than that - they'll be on the streets tomorrow - their defense team will plead they were poor and will blame the government for putting them in such dire straits they had no other way to provide for themselves!

Well done to all our police who do their duty but what's the use if when the thief's are taken to court they will be realised with out being charged or given a suspended sentence upteem times

This is the result you get when you have more mobile and foot patrols on our streets. A large number of police officers are wasted on paper work in offices. They should be out there on the streets in all towns and villages. Most paper work should be administered by civilians. With a complement of circa 1800 officers in the Force, Malta's towns & villages should be crime prevented.

Am in absolute agreement. Change the law if necessary. Too many policemen doing clerical work. Maybe contributing to too many policemen obviously physically unfit for active duty through obesity.
