Villino Grech is located in a bustling area of Birkirkara and was built in the 1960s by Carmelo Grech. The main living areas are designed in the International Style cubic form on an almost square shaped layout. The window and door openings are accentuated by oversized reveals together with projecting reinforced concrete sills and canopies.

The crowning piece of the building is a low height conservatory-like structure protruding from the dwelling with a semicircular end. It is housed under a corrugated clad roof with a slight pitch and hipped form together with extended eaves, enclosed by a small terrace. The structure sits on a reinforced concrete slab supported beneath by three sets of V-shaped structural columns that provide both an aesthetic and practical function in an attempt to make this part of the building appear light enough to hover over the void beneath. Particular attention has been paid to the terrace and balcony handrails on the building as well as the fencing surrounding the plot where the architectural detail changes in each case.

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority scheduled Villino Grech as a Grade 2 building on May 8.
