Watches worth £1m stolen in 80 seconds
Watches worth an estimated £1m were stolen during a robbery in Manchester city centre on Wednesday.
Footage released by Greater Manchester Police shows how three masked men, wearing high visibility jackets and trousers, entered Selfridges on Exchange Square shortly before 7.30 p.m.
As horrified customers looked on, the men smashed display cabinets using an axe and crowbars and stole some 100 well chosen watches.
They escaped in a waiting Black Mercedes.
Watches including Audermars Piguet, Jaeger le Coultre, Hublot and Cartier.

Given where this took place the police or security staff would possibly be frightened to intervene in case of being shot or having a hand greneade thrown at them -as the thieves would be evidently aware.
