The newly appointed Coadjutor Bishop to Garissa in Kenya, Joseph Alessandro, will be officially ordained next week in a Mass celebrated at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta.

The Episcopal ordination is on September 29 at 9.30am, led by the Archbishop of Nairobi, John Cardinal Njue, with Archbishop Paul Cremona and the Bishop of Garissa, Pawlu Darmanin.

At 7pm on September 28, Mgr Darmanin will lead a prayer vigil at the Capuchin church of the Holy Cross, Floriana.
