Mooring chain removed
An old mooring chain weighing hundreds of tonnes is being lifted from the Ta’ Xbiex seabed, a week after marine biologist Alan Deidun wrote about the matter. Contractor Polidano Bros insists the gradual removal was planned from the outset.

It is about time that MEPA takes in hand a seabed survey of the things that could be found, including what sort of fish etc., to be carried out in such area's but especially where yachts are berthed ? Just because sometimes (not blaming yacht owner!! But even those doing jobs on such yachts might be careless in throwing away or might forget some things of unwanted things into the sea and this might be just one or two only that are careless persons but they do exist such an abuser.
I do also presume there are certain regulations for yachtsmen and their workers too, including some sort of CCTV to capture such abuses, or someone that might commit some theft from such yachts but then I wonder if anyone was every caught or if those working in such places ever caught !!! Maybe someone in authority is just close one eye and says nothings - as usual in this Island ?
What about the rubbish bins that are all infested with crawling insects include rates or mice and cockroaches or mosquitoes, has anyone done anything so that neighbors won't suffer - What is the Medical and Health and other Authorities doing to protect our health ?
