Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Kate received a rousing welcome from locals on the remote Pacific Island of Tuvalu yesterday, as the royal couple looked to put behind them the topless photo scandal in Europe and finish their Jubilee tour on a high note.

Around 500 people turned out to greet the future king and his wife, who have spent the past eight days traveling across southeast Asia and the Pacific, and the couple were only too pleased to put on their dancing shoes to join in with a dance with local performers.

Wearing traditional costumes the smiling couple danced with the local performers before sitting down for a well-earned rest.

The royals are likely to be breathing a little easier after securing an injunction against a French magazine, preventing it from re-publishing or distributing topless photos of the Duchess. The scandal surrounding the photographs has overshadowed their Jubilee tour.
