A trailer truck hit and brought down a tree near the Marsa roundabout close to Shoemark this afternoon, bringing traffic along this busy artery to a standstill for some time.

Motorists were seen helping policemen to remove the branches and the road was then reopened.
The accident was close to the site where a trailer toppled over and the road was closed while a crane was used to lift it - causing traffic chaos until the road was reopened.
