The audit committee of the House of Representatives this morning unanimously approved the transfer of the former Medical School building in Guardamangia to St Augustine College.

The building will be converted to house a primary school extension of the college.

The transfer ends a long-running controversy which saw Mepa reject an application by the college to build the primary school on the site of a disused garden which it owns.
