BUHAGIAR. On September 14, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, JOSEPH, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary and his son Jesmond, his brother Arthur residing in Canada, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul on Monday at 2pm for The Immaculate Conception parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CASSAR. On September 12, at Villa Messina, JOSEPH (ex-NAAFI Bakery Manager), aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Calcedonia, his children John and his wife Rita, Stephen and his wife Sylvia, Marthese and her husband Ernest Spiteri Gonzi, his beloved grandchildren Andrew and his wife Janet, Jeremy and his wife Hannah, Daniela and her husband Francesco Zampa, Nicholas, Lara, Matthew and his girlfriend Lucianne, his great-grandchildren Ben, Jeremy and Giorgio, his remaining brother Carmelo, Ġużi Naudi, widower of his sister Mary and many other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Villa Messina tomorrow at 8am for Mosta parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
CIANTAR. On September 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL (ex-Chief Petty Officer, Royal Navy), of St Julian’s, aged 88. passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Anthony and his wife Antoinette and Edward and his wife Rosemary, his grandchildren Claire and her husband Chris Gafa, Therese and her husband Josef Bajada, Steve and Caroline, his brothers Saviour and Charles of Australia, his sister Maria, his in-laws Censina Bonett and Rose Vassallo, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on September 17 at 7.45am for the Carmelite parish church of Balluta where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. Special thanks to the staff at Eurology Ward 1, Mater Dei Hospital. Donations to Dar Nazareth, Żejtun, will be appreciated.
ZAMMIT. On September 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, JANE, née Cassar, of Sliema, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 after succumbing to her illness with fortitude and courage. She was much loved by her son Gerard, Monique his wife, and two grandchildren Jan and Faye. She will be sorely missed by all of us. Mass will be said today at 1.30 pm at Tal-Ibraġ parish church. May she rest in peace.
