Muscat congratulates Drag Racing champions

Opposition leader Joseph Muscat this afternoon met the Mr Whippy Drag Racing team, which won the European FIA Drag Racing championships.

Mr Whippy owner Joe Carabott told Dr Muscat that team work and hard work and experience led to their victory. The members said they found it tough to take part in international championships because of a lack of funds as the sports was an expensive one.

Dr Muscat congratulated the team and said the sports should be given space and the difficulties met by those who practiced it should be considered.

Karl this is the moment, jump to it, Joseph Muscat is promising anything and everything to everybody you might get your track at last.
While He is on a promising spree, maybe also a private air strip for the many aspiring young pilots who are keen on following the sport of flying ultra light aircrafts.

you are already paying taxes to pay for other hobbies that are expensive to maintain and we never succeeded as a country abroad in them. If you know what I mean.

yeah yeah yeah ... selfish people as usual. So it is OK for you that I and all of us pay taxes so that the government spends millions on football grounds and nurseries while some including me don't care a little about football. Me and thousands of motorsport enthusiasts also need our space and share like all sports!!

Yet you seem to find it acceptable to pay tax to fund football, at which Malta always performs abysmally.

I will be more than happy to know that my taxes are going in motor sport, were people like Manty and his team puts Malta right at the top. Weldone to you all for your dedication and success.

Bir-rispett kollu lejn kullhadd imma kunu ghafu li hafna mil-fondi biex jinbnew il-pitches gejjin mil-UEFA u MFA. Il-Gvern jghin ukoll imma ta min jinnota li l-football internazzjonali huwa self-suffecient hu hemm regoli u fondi ta soliderjeta. Rigward in-nuqqas ta success nixtieq nfakkar kemm il-tim nazzjonali rebah unuri? ghax tista tghid dejjem l-istess gganti rebhuhom. Il-Football ma tistax taghmlu paragun ma l-ebda sport iehor bhal ezempju rugby fejn vera gew ir-rebhiet imma x'se naghmlu jekk qatt xi darba nilghabu ma super potenza bhal Ingilterra, Franza, Awstralja etc...J'Alla mmorru tajjeb ta! imma ejja nkunu rejalistici li ahna pajjiz zghir. Rigward dan l-unur, Jien nifrah lil dan it-tim Malti ghas success. Nixtieq ukoll insaqsi aktar dwar din il-kompetizjoni ghax kid jidher fil-website tal-FIA hemm hames kompetizzjonijiet li jissejhu European Championship.
