Valley Road was completely reopened today, just over a week since the storm and flooding which forced its closure for urgent repairs.

A section of the road near the VAT Department still needs to be resurfaced and cars were producing clouds of dust as they drove over when the road was opened at about 11.45 a.m.

The flood waters had ripped the tarmac off sections of the road.

Transport Malta workers excavated the road to build new foundations.
