Lead Events tribute to Steve Jobs on October 3

A year (almost) to the day since the passing of Apple’s Steve Jobs, Lead Events, the organiser of seminars for professionals, is paying tribute to the man synonymous with the world’s most valuable company at a morning event on October 3.

Titled ‘Think Different’, the event at the InterContinental Malta in St Julian’s, will provide a setting for people to discuss inspirational video clips of Jobs, who left behind a legacy in several sectors beyond computers. Six speakers will share their views: 6pm founder and chief executive Ivan Bartolo, brand identity expert Edwin Ward, Quad Consultancy (Malta) co-founder Mark J. Galea, FACT Group founder Jesmond Pace, strategist Kevin-James Fenech, and Lotteries and Gaming Authority chief strategy officer Damian Xuereb.

Participants will be able to get involved by tweeting about the event, with all tweets displayed on a live wall. InterContinental Malta will provide iPads for people to take notes, tweet and update Facebook and LinkedIn statuses.

“Steve Jobs was decisive, intensely detail-focused and valued design above all,” Lead Events managing director James Grech said. “What counts is that he made the right decisions, focused on the right details and helped design things that were truly beautiful. I am confident participants will leave the event energised and inspired.”
