Over 60 people attended an informal learning session aimed at empowering young people to think better, debate and live a healthier lifestyle.

The JCI Empower Health Youthfest was held at Żabbar’s Greek Theatre. It included learning through music, drama, motivational and informational speeches, healthy food-tasting and debates by young people.

Bands also played during the event, including Red Electrick and Kiko from Skarlet.

Councillor Keith Pisani said the event formed part of the council’s effort to provide informal education through music and other artistic performances.

Gavril Flores, director at JCI Malta, said the session was organised by a group of JCI members and participants of the JCI Think Speak Act project, which created a development opportunity to empower young people to create positive change and develop solutions for community challenges.
