Lucienne Galea (picture) represented the SKSM Karate Malta at the European Championships which were staged in Irvine, Scotland this summer under the auspices of the World Union of Karate-Do Federation. The Masters Open Kata B title went to Denmark’s Malene Kirkeby with Belgium’s Nathalie Konings the runner-up and Galea third ahead of Russian Alexandra Fedenko. Galea, an instructor at the SKSM school in Malta, is also an international referee.
