Geri’s got a Brand new love interest

Russell Brand is dating former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell after meeting her at the closing ceremony of the Olympics, according to reports.

The pair have been spotted together in Hampstead, north London, and at Hampton Court Palace, but a friend of the singer said they were “just friends who have been out a couple of times”.

Halliwell recently admitted she had her eye on a new man but refused to go into details.

She told Hello! Magazine: “Right now there’s nothing serious. I was a late starter on the romantic front. I didn’t start dating until I was in my 30s.

“I quite like having somebody to cuddle. I like that intimacy, it would be wonderful.”

Russell has been linked to several women since his divorce from singer Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage.

Halliwell, who previously said that the comedian is “really funny and intelligent but not the type of man I go for”, ended her three-year romance with aristocratic ex-boyfriend Henry Beckwith last September.
