He will be greatly missed by his sisters Marie Louise and her husband Charles Camilleri, Thelma Metcalf and Ythamar Brincat, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. TANTI. On August 28, at Mtarfa Home, MARY of Rabat, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Grace and her husband John, Charles and his wife Joan, Gino and his wife Tania, Carmen and her husband Paul, Joe and Cathrine and her husband Charlie, her sisters Maddy and Carmen, her grandchildren David, Adrian, Glen, Rodrick, Lee Ann and Roxana, other relatives and friends. Maltese journal in US database

Images in Paediatric Cardiology is the first Maltese journal indexed in PubMed, a prominent, free database of academic references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics.

The US-based database contains almost 2.5 million articles and is used by researchers, health care practitioners, educators, administrators and students around the world.

The journal was created in 1999 by Prof. Victor Grech from the paediatric department of the university’s Malta Medical School.

Mission Fund lottery

The winners of the Mission Fund’s grand lottery drawn last Sunday are: first prize went to ticket number 005495 bought by G. Agius from Qormi; second prize went to D. Mercieca from Victoria, ticket number 056644; third prize went to W. Montebello from St Julian’s, ticket number 072953; and fourth prize went to D. Zammit Cutajar from Baħar Iċ-Ċagħaq, ticket number 07513.

The lottery raised more than €9,860 for Maltese and Gozitan missionaries in Third World countries.

Health mobility

The Local Councils’ Association will hold a seminar on October 13 to discuss the report prepared by The Today Public Policy Institute on health mobility in Sliema.

The association has invited Sliema residents and civil socities to attend the event which is open to the public and is free of charge. Registration should be made by e-mail and sent to lca@lca.org.mt.
