Fenech banned two matches

Ħamrun Spartans will have to do without defender Roderick Fenech for the next two BOV Premier League matches.

Yesterday, the Spartans defender was sanctioned by the MFA for his straight red card during last week’s 1-1 draw against Floriana following a clumsy tackle.

Fenech will sit out his team’s matches against Tarxien Rainbows, on Sunday, and Mosta on September 17.

Tarxien will be without forward Danilo for the clash against the Spartans as yesterday he was handed a one-match suspension.

The Brazilian saw red after committing two bookable offences in the 3-2 upset to Sliema Wanderers.

The other Premier League player sanctioned yesterday was Ryan Scicluna.

The Birkirkara player was sent off during his team’s 2-1 defeat of Balzan FC and will now skip tomorrow’s match against Rabat Ajax.
