Obituary

CALLEJA. On August 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, PATRICK of Sliema, aged 67, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Betty, née Camilleri, his children Karl and his wife Cora, Edward and his wife Stefanie, and Kristina, his grandchildren Sam and Lisa, his sisters and his mother-in-law, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

CHETCUTI. On August 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Gomina Busuttil, his sister-in-law Tessie widow of his brother Charles, his nieces and nephews and their families, among them Mariella, Patricia, Sylvana, Joanna and Theresa, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2 p.m. at Fatima Sanctuary, Guardamangia. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On August 27, JOSEPH of Birkirkara, aged 64, passed away peacefully com­forted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Degnamerita, née Caruana, his daughters Helena and Stephany, his brother-in-law Joseph and his wife Doris, their children Nathaniel and his wife Clarissa and their baby son Isaac, and Corinne and her fiancé Samuel, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SPITERI – MATILDE, née Debattista. In loving memory, on the first anniversary of her death. Never forgotten by her son Christopher and his wife Josette, her brother and sisters and their families, other relatives and friends.

XUEREB – HENRY. On the first anniversary of his demise. Sadly missed and never forgotten. His wife Irene, daughters Diane and Kristina, his beloved granddaughter Micaela, his sisters Anne and Doris and families.

ZAHRA. In loving memory of our dearest MALOU on the 15th anniversary of her demise, 14.07.63-29.08.97. Concelebrated Mass for the repose of the soul of Dr Malou Zahra will be said today at 7 p.m. at St Clare’s Monastery, St Julians. Antoinette, Pierre, Vicky, Mario, Carla and Katrina.

Clean-up in Mellieħa

Youth For The Environment (Y4TE) will hold a clean-up at the Majjistral Nature and History Park, Mellieħa, on Sunday at 4 p.m. All equipment required for the job will be provided on site.
