The second public consultation that will help shape the EcoGozo action plan 2013-2015 was launched yesterday by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono.

EcoGozo is a sustainable development strategy first adopted by the government in 2009. It aims to achieve enduring environmental improvement while fostering economic development and social progress in Gozo.

The first action plan 2010-2012 included 82 proposals and 61 of them have been or are currently being carried out, the minister said.

She invited all interested parties to submit their proposals to help plan action for the next three years.

The deadline is September 28, and suggestions can be submitted through Facebook (www.facebook.com/ecogozo), by visiting www.ecogozo.com, by e-mail (ecogozo@gov.mt) or by post to the ministry.
