Obituary

ABELA. On August 26 at Mater Dei Hospital, HÉLÈNE, née Madiona, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Maurice, her children Bernadette and her husband Paul Spiteri, Carol and his wife Emma, Sandra and her husband Alan Bartoli, Angèle and her husband Andrew Pizzuto, her grand­children Matthew and his wife Alexia, David and his wife Natasha, Peter and his girlfriend Symira, Adam and his girlfriend Iris, Andy, George, Alexia, Alison, Amy and her great-granddaughter Mia, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On August 25, FRANKIE, of Valletta but residing in Birkirkara, two days short of his 74th birthday, went to meet the Risen Lord and the Holy Mother comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Alda and Mary, wife of Lino Sant, his nephews and nieces Adriana and her husband Walter Bartolo, Leonard and his wife Michelle Sant, Dunstan Camilleri, Greta and her husband Michael Bonnici, great-nephews and nieces, members of the Legion of Mary, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence at 8 a.m. today for St Francis church in Birkirkara where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request by donations to Radju Maria will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

FALZON. On August 24, at St Catherine Home, Attard, M’ANNUNZJATA, of Birkirkara, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She went to meet her husband Emanuel and her son Alfred and she leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmen, Josephine, Phyllis, Paul, Saviour, Mario, Elizabeth, Lillian, their respective husbands and wives, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Catherine Home tomorrow, at 8.30 a.m., for the Basilica of St Helen, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but don­ations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly ap­preciated. The family would like to thank the community and carers of St Catherine Home for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

POLIDANO. On August 25, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, JOE (a.k.a. Żeppi ta’ Borda), of Birżebbuġa, aged 66, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Viviene, his son Joseph, his daughter Rose and her husband Sandro, his grand­children Alexia, Carla, Sean and Jessica, his brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Birżebbuġa parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PSAILA. On August 26, ELENA née Mompalao of Victoria, Gozo, aged 94, widow of Saviour, passed away peacefully at Gozo General Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her deeply her children Ċettina and her husband Judge Maurice Caruana Curran, Joe widower of Mary Jane, Mary widow of Louis Aquilina, Frank and his wife Rose, Walter and his wife Marie Christine, and Antoinette, her grandchildren Dr Stephan Meilak and his wife Lucienne, Dr Erika Vella and her husband Dr Ivan Vella, Dr Anselm Psaila and his wife Sharon, Ivana Farrugia A&CE and her husband Joe, Ing Anna Maria and her husband Ing Peter Borg, Katya Bonello A&CE and her husband Mario Bonello A&CE, Ramona and her husband Paul Camilleri, Alexia Maria and her husband Marvic Cassar, Brian Psaila and Kristian Psaila, her 17 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves the Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 5.30 p.m.to Sabina Square from where the cortege proceeds to the Gozo Cathedral for the celebration of Mass praesente cadavere at 6 p.m. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

In Memoriam

ATTARD. In loving memory of MAUREEN, today being the sixth anniversary of her demise. Never forgotten by her children and grandchildren, John, Paul, Simone, Charlie and Ellie. Forever in our hearts and prayers.

BIANCHI. In loving memory of our dearest BLANCHE on the first anniversary of her demise. Always in our thoughts and prayers. We all miss you so. Her husband Vivian and his family – Patricia Apap Bologna and her family and Robert Ayoub and his family. BORG. In ever loving memory of HECTOR (ex-NAAFI official) on the 15th anniversary of his demise. Always remembered and sadly missed by his sons, daughters, in-laws and grandchildren.

HOLLAND – Dr PATRICK. In loving memory of a dear husband and father, today the 26th anniversary of his demise. Never forgotten by his wife Rose Mary, daughter Helena, brother and sister, in-laws, nephews and nieces. Always in our hearts and prayers.
