Artist Ljupco Samardziski, currently based in Malta, has donated one of his own works, Ode to Joy, to the Valletta 2018 (V18) Foundation. The aim of the artist, who comes from Belgrade, Serbia, is to donate a painting to all those cities hosting European Capital of Culture events until 2020, when his hometown will be hosting the title events. V18 chairman David Felice accepted the painting on behalf of the foundation.
