Police catch thief
A man who stole a woman's bag while she was on the beach in Qawra this afternoon was caught by the police shortly after committing the crime.
Eyewitnesses said that a man who was with the victim followed the thief and the victim called the police.
The police found the man, whom the victim recognised, and arrested him.

Don't take valuable to the beach. Fit a movement alarm on your bags, it sounds as soon as bag is moved.

This is not a mis-demeanour it is serious, this gives Malta a bad name with tourists.
I hope the court gets tough with these type of sneak thieves, and if he is a repeat offender he needs to get jail time.
