Children’s 48-hour sailing marathon

Children are to take part in a 48-hour non-stop sailing marathon in aid of Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.

Organised by the Vikings Sailing Club, the event is scheduled to start today at 6 p.m. and carry on until Sunday at Marsamxett.

The event will be opened by Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg.

The public is encouraged to support the children’s marathon by visiting the Vikings Sailing Club premises at Haywarf, Floriana, over the weekend.

All visitors will have the opportunity to have a go at sailing the club’s dinghies against a donation to the charity. Refreshments will be served and a raffle will be run.
