Exhibitions

At the Malta Society of Arts, Manu­factures and Commerce, Republic Str., Valletta, a jewellery exhibition by Kevin Attard.

At St James Cavalier, Tpinġija Pinġejna, a collection of works by a group of young men who started a personal artistic journey in October 2011. The exhibition is coordinated by Olivia Deguara, Carmen Aquilina and Kristina Borg.

At St James Cavalier and The Splendid Guesthouse, Strait Street (both in Valletta), Mirrored – Critical Reflections, a collaborative exhibition by art students.

At St James Cavalier, Valletta, Divergent Thinkers, an exhibition of contemporary artistic practices by seven young Maltese artists who explore divergent thinking in different media.

At the Inquisitor’s Palace in Vittoriosa, In The Wake Of Caravaggio, an exhibition featuring Tamás Cserna, a contemporary painter from Hungary, whose latest paintings are reputed to be inspired by the works of Caravaggio.

At the War Shelters, the Ċittadella, Victoria, Divina, a contemporary art exhibition where visitors are invited to enter the visionary world of Rafael Labro in a fusion of three light waves.

At Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates Premises, 120, St Ursula Street, Valletta, Through My Eyes, an exhibition by Joanne Fenech Portelli, focusing on Maltese landscapes.

At Palazzo de Piro, Mdina, Counting Prayers. An exhibition of rare rosary beads and Archconfraternity articles dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary and other related liturgical works of art.

At the Ċittadella Centre for Culture and the Arts, The Citadel, Victoria, the Primary Colours, a collection of mostly watercolours by local and international artists.

Activities

At Why Not?, Gort Str., Paceville, Zen meditation by Buddhist monk Sodo. Sessions include meditation instruction (sitting and walking), talks, Q&A sessions and Big Mind facilitation, starting at 7.30 p.m.

At the dance studios of St Michael Foundation, San Ġwann, auditions for the Żigużajg Fringe Festival 2012. Performing artists aged seven to 16 are invited to attend. Musicians and actors are asked to bring two contrasting pieces to perform to the panel. Dancers and gymnasts will be required to follow a series of short exercises.
