Obituaries

BONNICI. On August 18, Major Joseph L. Bonnici, aged 90, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Olga née Antignolo, his sons Walter and his wife Theresa, Joe and Ramona, Henry and his wife Mireille, and Peter Paul and his wife Veronica, his grandchildren David, Nicola, Laura and her husband Mark Gasan, Marisha and Conrad, Sandy, Steven, Anthony, Julian and Hannah, and his great-grandson Jonathan, his in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 8.15 a.m. for San Ġwann parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Hamrun, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

EBEJER. On August 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSE MARIE, aged 61, of Paola, passed peacefully away surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved brothers and sister, Joe and his wife Joyce, Lucia and her husband Publio Magro, Raymond and his wife Louise, and Anton, her nephews and nieces Fleur Marie and her husband Sergio, Jean-Paul, Mirana, Lara and her husband Mark, Matthias, and Samuel, her grand-nieces Martina, Nicole and Pearl, her uncles Edwin and James and his wife Georgina, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9.15 a.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.45 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord grant her eternal rest.

SCIBERRAS. On July 26, in Perth, Australia, GUIDO, aged 77, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply missed and mourned by his three sons and daughter, relatives and friends in Malta and Australia. The funeral took place in Perth on August 4. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Thursday at 6 p.m. at St Mary (old church), Birkirkara. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
