Another seven Gozitan men appeared in court yesterday over the fracas in the main street in Victoria during the Santa Marija feast celebrations last Tuesday evening.
The men pleaded not guilty to injuring five people, one of them seriously, during what witnesses described as a free-for-all.
Emanuel Cini, 30, of Żebbuġ, Shaun-Pierre Cassar, 25, Christian Sultana, 22, Jason Cassar, 22, and Daniel Agius, 21, Josmike Sultana, 19, and a 17-year-old, all of Kerċem, were accused of committing offences outside the Aurora Club in Republic Street, Victoria.
They were charged with seriously injuring a person, slightly injuring four others, damaging property, attacking and threatening the five victims and breaching the peace.
The men pleaded not guilty and were granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 each.
Another five men who appeared in court on Friday over the same incident were also granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 each.
The fight broke out within a bar on the premises of the Leone Philharmonic Society and spilled onto Republic Street. The society distanced itself from the incident, saying it was not connected with it.
