Search for missing dad

The family of a missing man yesterday made a heartfelt appeal on Facebook pleading for information on 27-year-old Matthew Zahra.

“He has three angels waiting for him,” the family said on Facebook while his father, Vincent, remarked: “One would miss a cat, let alone a son.”

The family had no idea what could have caused his disappearance.

He had no problems they knew of and he had not done anything like this before, Mr Zahra Snr said when contacted.

He left the house at 7 a.m. on Wednesday and, after not seeing or hearing from him all day, the family decided to file a police report at about 8 p.m.

His “angels” – Bradley, 10, Mathrirs, eight, and Nerhea, two – and his partner Krystle were waiting for him at home, Mr Zahra added.

He was last seen in Valletta and his car was found in Marsaxlokk.

The police said yesterday the young man had dark brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone knowing his whereabouts can phone the police in confidence on 119.
