The Lotto Receivers' Union (LRU) has issued directives to its members in protest over what it said was discrimination by lotteries operator Maltco.

It said the company was refusing to accept some members in the collective guarantee which the union is seeking. Yesterday, the company suspended services to a member for following a LRU directive not to raise his contribution (by 140%) as decided by the company.

The union directed its members not to give information to Maltco over the telephone on their stock of scratch cards, not to supply plans of their lotto booths and not to allow Maltco officials to photograph their premises.
