Banif Bank’s Fgura team won Branch of the Year 2011 after it scored the best performance among the bank’s retail branches.

The award came on the eve of the branch’s third anniversary.

Branch manager Martin Borg was presented with the award by chief executive Joaquim F. Silva Pinto during a lavish dinner in the Gzira head office board room for all the branch’s staff.

“You should be very proud of being the first branch to receive this award. This is an important milestone in the bank’s history. Above all you should be even more satisfied with your performance and the contribution towards the bank’s overall results,” the chief executive said.

He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to continue to invest in its employees to help them meet their goals and expectations.

The team was also congratulated by chief commercial officer Luís Avides Moreira, chief financial markets and investments officer Paulo E. Machado Fernandes and head of commercial department Anthony Bonnici.
