An autopsy on Mario Galea, 47, who was killed in Paceville last Friday morning, has concluded that both a beating he suffered and the fact that he was run over by a taxi had contributed to his death.

The autopsy concluded that Mr Galea died from asphyxia due to inhalation of blood causing airway obstruction and pressure on chest.

Two men were earlier this week arraigned and accused of the hairstylist's murder.

He allegedly had a fight with two men and was then run over by the taxi as he lay sprawly in Paceville Avenue. Civil Protection Department personnel were called in to help jack the taxi up to remove Mr Galea’s body from underneath.
