‘Holiday of a lifetime’ for young patient

Nikolai Attard, seven, who for a number of years has been undergoing medical treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, has been given a “holiday of a lifetime” in the Netherlands this month.

Nikolai, from Mosta, will be travelling to Landal Green Parks Rabbit Hill Family Resort accompanied by his sister and their parents thanks to a number of fundraising activities organised by the management and staff of the Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa throughout 2011 and 2012.

The money raised was augmen­ted by a generous donation by Round Table Malta 2.

The vacation was organised in partnership with Beyond the Moon, a non-profit charitable association with international reach that aids families with seriously ill children by offering them the opportunity to enjoy a memorable, cost-free vacation in a child-friendly environment and to spend carefree quality time together, far away from hospitals and treatments.
