MAMO. On July 25, at Peterborough City Hospital, UK, to Chantal née Fenech and Jonathan, God’s precious gift of a first-born daughter – PHILIPPA, a most welcome first grandchild to Anna and Ray Fenech of Pembroke and Carmen and Giovann Mamo of Qawra. Thanks be to God.

Obituaries
BORG. On August 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA MAGDALENA, née Spiteri, aged 89, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Michael and his wife Helen, Anna and her husband Albert, Mariella and her husband Martin, her grandchildren Neville, Gilmar and his wife Ilona, Emilia and her fiancé Josef Karl, Oriana and her husband Carlos, Josef, her great-grandson Luca, her brother and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for St Paul’s Shipwreck parish church, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
DONOHOE. On August 9, CARMEN, née Cachia, aged 83, passed away. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 3.30 p.m. at St Paul’s Bay parish church, followed by interment at Burmarrad cemetery. Forever loved and deeply missed by her family, friends and those who loved her. Lord grant her eternal rest.
MALLIA. On August 4, in Vicenza, Italy, VICTOR J., son of the late Hugh and Paulina Mallia, brother to Joe, George and Bertie (all deceased), survived by his sons, Frank and Paul in Verona, his brothers Philip and Doris and their family in Australia, Peter and his daughters, Gloria and Paula in New York, his sister-in-law Marcelle Mallia and her family, his nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends in Malta and abroad. A Mass in his memory will be said on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Ursuline chapel, Sliema.
NAUDI. On August 9, EMANUEL of Sliema, aged 97 , widower of Elizabeth (Bessie) née Farrugia, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved children Henry and his wife Margaret née Griffiths, Muriel and her husband David Poole, Angela and her husband Victor Pace, Alfred and his wife Antoinette née Leone Ganado, Joseph, Robert and his wife Tania née Spiteri, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Loved and remembered by his children Karmenu and his wife Ruby, Salvu and his wife Sina, Lino and his wife Carmen and Albert and his wife Pauline, grandchildren Patrick, Ernest, Oliver, Isabelle, Frederick, Romina, Owen, Alison and Bryan, their respective spouses, great-grandchildren, his sister, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Pius X parish church, Sta Luċija, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.
