St Mirren top
St Mirren head the early Scottish Premier League table after a 2-0 victory over Dundee at Dens Park yesterday. With Celtic not in action this week and Hearts due to play today, goals from Kenny McLean and Sam Parkin see the Paisley side take a turn at the top. McLean scored with a magnificent 35-yard shot six minutes from the interval while Parkin clinched the points in the 62nd minute when he controlled a Dougie Imrie cross before slotting the ball home. Inverness and Kilmarnock had to share the points as they drew 1-1 at the Caledonian Stadium.
