Woman, 84, drowns in Ghadira Bay
An 84-year-old woman drowned in Għadira Bay this afternoon.
Her body was noticed floating face-down by other bathers at about 2 p.m.
A lifeguard gave CPR to no avail and the woman, from St Paul's Bay, was declared dead on the scene.
A Magisterial inquiry is under way.
The incident came less than 24 hours after a 27-year-old Italian man drowned in a swimming pool in St Julians.
