The Anti-Doping Commission within the Kunsill Malti għall-Isport has set no date for the hearing of Clayton Failla, the Hibs winger who is currently suspended from all football activities after returning a positive dope test in June.

The National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) tribunal normally allows three months to decide on a doping case.

Also with some of its members assigned on various duties at the Olympic Games in London, the tribunal is unlikely to hold an urgent meeting before the BOV Premier League kicks off later on this month.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Doping Commission yesterday announced that rower Joseph Flask has been suspended for two years for a doping violation after a urine sample was taken in the March 31 regatta.

In a statement, the commission said Flask returned an adverse analytical finding for Clenbuterol. This substance is included on the WADA prohibited list.

All results obtained by Flask from the date of competition and onwards will be scratched including the forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes, Kunsill Malti għall-Isport said.
