Human resources personnel from HSBC’s Contact Centre in Swatar will be in Gozo on August 18 seeking to recruit banking specialists.

Candidates must speak fluent English and have good interpersonal skills. Selected candidates will undergo 12 weeks’ training on full pay before they are integrated into the contact centre banking system, on shift-rotation basis.

The contact centre exclusively services UK customers and is part of the UK business.

The recruitment day will be held at Victoria’s Arcadia Shopping Centre from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are 12 Gozitan employees at Swatar’s Contact Centre; Gozitan employees are entitled to free ferry tickets each time they travel between the islands, and free return transport from Ċirkewwa to the contact centre.

The contact centre opened in 2006 and currently employs 482 people.
