Sliema coach resigns

Clive Mizzi has resigned as Sliema Wanderers coach amid reports that Italian investors are to buy a large stake in the club.

Informed sources said that the investment is conditional on the investors appointing a technical director and team manager of their choice.

Mizzi was appointed Sliema coach only last June, having previously coached Mqabba.

The club have now appointed Italian Alfonso Greco as coach who will work with new sports director Roberto Causio.
