The Turnanor Planet Solar, which has stopped in Malta on its tour of the Mediterranean, will be leaving Grand Harbour on

Thursday morning. It will go to Balluta, St Paul’s Bay and Ghadira and docking at Mgarr in Gozo for the night before leaving for Sardinia on Friday morning.

The catamaran is 31 metres long and 23 wide and is powered by an array of 537 square meters of high efficiency solar cells.

It started sailing four years ago and has been on a world tour for the past two years.

After its tour of the Mediterranean, it will return to Monaco for renovation.

Resources Minister George Pullicino visited the boat this morning.
