Actavis has once again confirmed its involvement as Platinum Plus sponsors in the upcoming Lifecycle Challenge 2012, which will be taking place in Australia.

Lifecycle is a non-profit organisation founded in 1999, whose main aim is to raise awareness of renal disease. The annual Life-cycle Challenge aims to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment at Mater Dei Hospital’s Renal Unit, thus making the highest standards of medical treatment available to patients suffering from kidney disease.

This year’s Lifecycle Challenge will involve a 1,900-km journey from Brisbane to Melbourne. Besides its sponsorship, Actavis has also donated a supply of Vostar gel for all athletes taking part this year. The gel, produced by Actavis, is used to treat pain and inflammation

Actavis Ltd is a subsidiary of the Actavis Group, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, which operates in over 40 countries. Its Malta plant at Żejtun employs over 600 people.
