The Malta Resources Authority chairman, Fleur Vella, has resigned from her post.

Resources Minister George Pullicino accepted the resignation and appointed deputy chairman Matthew Spiteri as acting chairman.

A ministry spokesman said when contacted that no other details were available, except that she had presented a resignation letter which was accepted.
