As a parent of a mentally-challenged individual and as a long-time volunteer treasurer at Malta’s foremost educational charity, I would like to offer inspiration to all readers of good will:
Nathan Farrugia, Inspire’s CEO, has in each year of his service raised, through the physical challenges he undertakes, over twice the total of his annual remuneration for our disabled children.
This is in addition to his leadership of the ongoing efforts by the charity’s fund raising team, which bring in critically vital finance that enables us to remain in the loss-making business of supporting hundreds of disabled people.
The Maltese public should be informed of such excellent voluntary service and superlative achievers and celebrate them as Malta would any Olympic medallists.
Ad multos annos, great Nathan Farrugia.
